Comprehensive Multi-Step Air-Duct Cleaning Process
At Ductor Clean Air, we follow a meticulous multi-step process to ensure your air ducts are thoroughly cleaned and your indoor air quality is significantly improved. Each system cleaning includes:
✔ High-Wall & Ceiling Supply Vent Cleaning
-
Supply Vents Standard-Cleaning: Using a commercial-grade HEPA-filter Air-Negativity Vacuum Machine, we create negative pressure to extract dust and debris from supply vents on walls and ceilings. For split-zone systems, we connect the machine to each zone and ensure thorough coverage across all property floors. In some cases, depending on ductwork structure, the machine will be connected to the Plenum Box (Return Furnace Trunk) for optimal efficiency.
-
Supply Vents Deep-Cleaning: In rare cases where the supply vents are excessively contaminated, the Air-Negativity Machine may not be sufficient for a thorough cleaning. In such instances, a Deep-Cleaning process is required. This method does not utilize the Air-Negativity Machine; instead, each supply vent is meticulously cleaned individually using specialized power tools, snakes, and brushes to ensure the complete removal of dust and debris from the ducts. Additionally, this process includes a comprehensive duct sanitation procedure (see details below). The Deep-Cleaning Service is priced differently from the Standard-Cleaning Service due to the additional time and effort required. An extra charge applies to account for the more intensive cleaning process. For further details, please click the Air-Duct Cleaning tile on the Home page or the Special Prices page.
✔ Thorough Cleaning of Return (Intake) Ducts
We clean each return duct individually, utilizing power tools, snakes, and brushes to remove accumulated dust and debris. Since return ducts pull air and dust into the HVAC system, they are among the dirtiest parts and require special attention.
✔ Detailed Grill & Cover Cleaning
All duct grills and covers are brushed and cleaned to remove built-up dust and contaminants.
✔ Comprehensive Duct Sanitization (with fragrance)
We apply a pet and human safe, anti-bacterial mold-control disinfectant to service ducts, helping prevent mold growth and ensuring cleaner air circulation (A fragrance component is often included in the sanitizer).
✔ Furnace Cleaning (Visible Areas)
We remove dust and debris from visible furnace components without interfering with its electronics or mechanical parts (we do not touch any of the electrical or mechanical parts of the furnace).
✔ Filter Removal & Plenum Box Cleaning
We carefully remove the old filter and perform a deep cleaning of the Plenum Box (Furnace Trunk) connected to the furnace.
✔ Filter Replacement
We properly dispose of the old filter and replace it with a new filter to optimize airflow and filtration.
✔ Mold & Mildew Inspection
We inspect the air ducts for visible mold and mildew and provide photographic evidence if anything is found.
✔ Before & After Photos (Upon Request, No Additional Charge)
To showcase the dramatic difference, we offer before-and-after photos at no extra cost (upon request).
Specialized Cleaning for Floor & Low-Wall Supply Vents
While our Air-Negativity Machine is highly effective for high-wall and ceiling supply vents, it is not designed to clean low-wall and floor supply vents due to gravity resistance. These vents require a specialized approach, as they tend to accumulate significantly more debris over time from fallen objects, pet activity, and everyday dust buildup.
To ensure a thorough and effective cleaning, we follow these additional steps:
✔ Individual Deep Cleaning of Floor & Low-Wall Supply Vents
We use power tools, snakes, and brushes to manually clean each vent one by one, removing built-up dust, pet hair, and debris that naturally collect in these areas.
✔ Grill & Cover Cleaning
All vent covers and grills are carefully brushed and cleaned to remove dirt and dust.
✔ Comprehensive Duct Sanitization
We apply a pet and human safe, anti-bacterial mold-control disinfectant to service ducts, helping prevent mold growth and ensuring cleaner air circulation (A fragrance component is often included in the sanitizer).
✔ Mold & Mildew Inspection
We inspect the air ducts for visible mold and mildew and provide photographic evidence if anything is found.
✔ Before & After Photos (Upon Request, No Additional Charge)
To demonstrate the effectiveness of our cleaning, we offer before-and-after photos at no extra cost (upon request).

Key Reasons & Benefits of Professional Air Duct Cleaning
Keeping your air ducts clean is essential for maintaining a healthy, efficient, and fresh indoor environment. Here’s why professional air duct cleaning is a must:
✔ Protect Your Health
Dirty air ducts harbor dust, mold, and bacteria, which get circulated throughout your home via the HVAC system. Exposure to these contaminants can lead to respiratory issues, allergies, congestion, coughing, headaches, itchy eyes, and skin irritation. A professional cleaning significantly reduces these risks, ensuring cleaner, healthier air for you and your family.
✔ Enhance Indoor Air Quality
Fresh, clean air makes a difference! Professional duct cleaning significantly reduces allergens and irritants, leaving your indoor air fresher, odor-free, and healthier. Once serviced, your HVAC system will circulate cleaner air, reducing airborne pollutants.
✔ Advanced Professional Equipment for Superior Results
While DIY cleaning may remove surface dust, it cannot match the deep cleaning power of professional-grade equipment. We use state-of-the-art, high-powered duct cleaning tools to eliminate years of accumulated dust, debris, and allergens, restoring your system’s efficiency and improving overall air quality.

✔ Maximize Energy Efficiency & Lower Costs
Clean air ducts allow your HVAC system to operate more efficiently, reducing strain on the unit and lowering energy consumption. A well-maintained system requires less effort to heat or cool your home, resulting in lower utility bills and increased longevity of your equipment.
✔ Comprehensive Furnace Cleaning
As part of our service, we inspect and clean your furnace, removing any visible dust and debris accumulated in the Plenum Box (Return Trunk). This crucial step ensures that your entire system - from ducts to furnace - is thoroughly cleaned, improving overall performance and air quality.

✔ Professional Duct Sanitization
As part of our comprehensive cleaning service, we sanitize all return ducts using a high-grade, eco-friendly anti-bacterial mold-control disinfectant. Applied via spray or a professional fogger machine, this disinfectant is designed for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional HVAC systems, used in healthcare facilities, ensuring a healthier environment while being completely safe for humans and pets. (A fragrance component is often included in the sanitizer)
✔ Filter Replacement for Optimal Air Quality
To maintain clean air circulation, we remove and dispose of old HVAC filters, replacing them with new filters. Regular filter replacement every 1 to 6 months (depending on the type and brand) helps keep your HVAC system running efficiently, reduces energy costs, and ensures consistently high indoor air quality.

TurboJet Max II Air-Negativity Vacuum
The TurboJet Max II negative air machine is a compact workhorse for residential and commercial duct cleaning. This 22.5” wide cabinet can provide 2700 CFM at 5” static pressure, a full-size 12” inlet, 3-stage HEPA filtration, soft start and will run at 13 or 17 amps, and uses the same ESP speed control found in larger machines.
The legendary performance and size of this type of machine has been proven aboard ships and off-shore drilling rigs, as well as mobile homes and 6,000 room hotels, and is perfect for a small team operation.
The power inverter converts 115-volt single-phase household power to 3-phase 220-volt power. This eliminates the start-up power surge required by a single speed motor.
